OUR SERVICES

Chatham-Kent Legal Clinic provides referrals, legal advice, legal representation, Tenant Duty Counsel services, and public legal education and community outreach.

CLINIC HOURS

Monday to Thusday: 9:00 am to noon, and 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
Friday: 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm.

We do NOT cover criminal, family or immigration law. Private bar lawyers on Legal Aid certificates do this work. More information on the Certificate Program is available in the Community Resources And Info link. Landlords who need advice may also wish to check this link.

LEGAL ADVICE

We give free legal advice on the telephone, by appointment, or on a walk-in basis regarding the above areas of law. There are no financial restrictions when asking for advice. We encourage people to call first.
Advice is provided at the following times:

Mondays & Thursdays: 9:30-11:30 am; 1:00-4:00 pm.
Tuesdays & Wednesdays: 9:30-11:30 am.

LEGAL REPRESENTATION

We offer representation to low-income residents of Chatham-Kent. Staff determine eligibility by asking about income and assets.

PUBLIC LEGAL EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH

We are available to conduct presentations about our areas of practice. We encourage people to contact us to discuss their needs.
